Dear Mr. Cameron,
I am writing to protest against what happened in 1972, what everyone calls "bloody sunday", that was a tragedy in Northern Ireland, where 26 civilians that were protesting unarmed and not hurting anyone and they were shot by british soldiers, and 13 died during the incident.
I am particularly concerned that there will be no charges for the soldiers who shot innocent civilians in that awful day, because they were just protesting not even carrying a single weapon and soldiers just started shooting. This wasn't just something that happened, it had consequences , this lead to increased violence for some years in Northern Ireland.
In addition to that, any soldier that is prosecuted, would not spend a day in jail due to the good friday agreement.
The public prosecution service said that they needed to have enough evidence to prove something that happened 38 years ago, whic is a hard job. But I think there's enough evidence if they were given a report with it from more than 900 witnesses, 2,500 written statements and 60 volumes of written evidence.
Also the soldiers gave no warning at all, they just came out to the street, started shooting, another reason to prosecute them, they can't start shooting because they wanted to and giving no warning or reason at all.
Furthermore, everyone has rights and those rights must be respected, if we don't respect them, we can't live in a society together because we would be constantly hurting others or doing bad things to each other.
It is for these reasons that I want you to take every necessary measures to make a better society, a fair society, by prosecuting everyone who deserves and not just forgiving them, so we can have a better world. Everyone should respect the law and every other person in our society.
Your Sincerely,
Carlos Oyarce
